Who’s behind it? – Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2011)

 

How can it help? – The UN Guiding Principles are a set of guidelines for governments and companies to prevent, address and remedy adverse human rights impacts related to business operations. Proposed by the former UN Special Representative John Ruggie and endorsed by the Human Rights Council in 2011, the UNGPs represent an authoritative global standard on business and human rights.
