Summary: Human trafficking can have a direct impact on corporate supply chains and on business compliance with international and national labor regulations and human rights standards. It also affects how a corporation is perceived by its customers, clients, partners, and investors.
In our first webinar on this topic we defined human trafficking and explored its impact on people and business. We highlighted countries, industries and those parts of the supply chain where human trafficking is most commonly found, and learned about steps to address it.
WBCSD and the Tech Against Trafficking initiative will offer a second webinar – date tbc – that will dive into the role technology plays, from how traffickers use technology to how business can use technology to identify and address human trafficking related to its business activities.
