How can it help? – The objective of these guidelines for conducting legal due diligence investigations in the context of M&A transactions is to provide useful information on topics that are relevant in M&A legal due diligence, as well as practical guidance for conducting well-organised due diligence processes. Within that broader goal, these Guidelines also intend to identify key principles and a useful methodology for other stakeholders who undertake due diligence outside a classic M&A scenario as a way of identifying and mitigating legal, regulatory and business risks.
