The business and human rights dimension of sustainable development

Who’s behind it? – UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights (2017)

How can it help? – In June 2017, the UN Working Group on Business & Human Rights published a set of 10 key recommendations for governments and businesses regarding human rights and the SDGs. The paper makes the case that the most powerful contribution business can make to sustainable development is to embed respect for human rights across their value chains, and thus the UN Guiding Principles have a key role to play in SDG road-mapping.
